Claim that Özlem Çerçioğlu's Aziz İhsan Aktaş investigation file has been reopened: She had said 'I received a non-prosecution decision'

It has been claimed that the "Aziz İhsan Aktaş" investigation file, which was conducted against Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu—who resigned from the CHP and joined the AKP—and regarding which Çerçioğlu had stated she received a non-prosecution decision, has been reopened.

During a rally in front of the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, Özel had taken the stage with three folders of files in his hand, stating that the AKP had filed a criminal complaint against Çerçioğlu and that a 13-page indictment had been prepared against her, adding that the AKP "is pinning a badge today on Çerçioğlu, for whom it had prepared a file."

Çerçioğlu had responded to the allegations by saying, "Özel is not telling the truth. I have a rock-solid non-prosecution decision regarding the İhsan Aktaş file that I received a year ago."

Çerçioğlu had used the following expressions in a program she attended:

"On April 9, I held a meeting with Özgür Özel and two of my bureaucrats. One of these bureaucrats was a city planner. We went to discuss the fact that the zoning amendment regarding Kuşadası was done incorrectly. If I had a lawsuit or a fear, I would have gone there with my lawyer, not a city planner. My conscience is clear, I have no fear. Just as I said before, I had to leave because I could not get any results in the meetings I held within the CHP."

CLAIM THAT THE INVESTIGATION FILE HAS BEEN REOPENED

According to the news on Sözcü TV's 'Nokta Atışı' program, the investigation has been processed again.

It is alleged that the investigation file, which is being conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, has been put back into process.

It was also claimed that the expressions "zoning mafia" and "zoning rent" used by Çerçioğlu in an interview she gave to Sabah newspaper were included in the investigation.

According to the claim, Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Attorney Bihter Durak requested in her complaint that Çerçioğlu be asked who she meant by expressions such as zoning mafia and zoning rent.
