Claim emerges that 'Şeyda Yılmaz’s killer, Yunus Emre Geçti, has a photo with Süleyman Soylu'

An operation was carried out against suspect Yunus Emre Geçti, who was apprehended for 'motorcycle theft' in Ümraniye and subsequently escaped.

19-year-old Yunus Emre Geçti seized a police officer's weapon and opened fire while being apprehended. 27-year-old police officer Şeyda Yılmaz, who was wounded in the ensuing clash, was martyred despite all medical interventions.

The 19-year-old killer, who confessed to the murder during his interrogation, was referred to the courthouse after processing at the police station.

HE HAD A PHOTO TAKEN WITH SOYLU AS A CHILD

Following the murder, which has become a major topic of discussion in Turkey, a striking claim was made regarding the killer.

It was claimed that Geçti had a photo taken with former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu when he was 13 years old.

It was alleged that the photo in question was shared from the social media account of Geçti’s mother.

The photo was seen to have been shared with the note, "My son and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu took a picture together."

"THE REASONS THAT TURN THE ONE ON THE LEFT INTO THE ONE ON THE RIGHT..."

Journalist Ozan Gündoğdu also shared other photos of Geçti from his childhood.

Gündoğdu used the following expressions in his post: “As long as we do not eliminate the reasons that turn the one on the left into the one on the right, our streets cannot be safe. 'Nothing can be done as long as we do not question the darkness that creates a killer out of a child, my brothers and sisters.'”
