While it is stated that the State Supervisory Council (DDK) has begun investigating allegations regarding the fund crisis, steps that could be taken following the report are being discussed in AKP corridors. Government sources claimed that, depending on the outcome of the investigation, changes in the party administration, cabinet, and bureaucracy could come to the agenda.
According to the Türkiye newspaper, known for its proximity to the government, the DDK's investigation, conducted by approximately 15-20 experts, is expected to identify individuals alleged to have gained unfair profits through fund transactions. AKP sources argued that all allegations raised will be investigated and that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan may take action based on the outcome of the process.
While sources expressed the view that Erdoğan will not act before the names are clarified, they assessed that, "The President will not look at anyone's tears; everyone should be sure of this. He does not look at whether someone is this person's man or that person's man."
It is also stated in the corridors that possible changes are not expected in the short term. The same sources stated that Erdoğan will first wait for the investigation to be completed, noting that the DDK report will be decisive in the course of the process.
