An investigation has been launched into a television program that alleged Dilan Polat, who is being held in custody as part of a criminal organization investigation, was not in prison.
The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office took action following allegations made on the television program 'Söylemezsem Olmaz', broadcast on Beyaz TV, claiming that Dilan Polat, who is under arrest as part of a criminal organization investigation, was not in prison.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into the claim in question on charges of "publicly disseminating misleading information."
In operations conducted in Istanbul and 5 other provinces on November 1, 2023, and subsequently, 24 suspects, including Dilan Polat and her husband Engin Polat, were detained.
While 16 of the suspects, including Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, and Sıla Doğu, were arrested on November 5, 2023, the court also ruled for the appointment of trustees to 27 companies.
