Claims that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli was hospitalized

According to a report by Halktv.com.tr, Bahçeli was hospitalized due to a heart condition.

CLAIMS OF HOSPITALIZATION DUE TO HEART CONDITION

The MHP Chairman was hospitalized due to a heart condition. Bahçeli, who had previously undergone surgery, was admitted to a private hospital on the Anatolian side of Istanbul and placed under treatment.

Last week, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's frequent coughing while speaking at his party's group meeting had brought his health issues to the agenda.

STATEMENT FROM MHP SOURCES

Following the emergence of claims that Bahçeli was hospitalized due to a heart condition, a statement came from MHP sources, sharing the information that MHP Chairman Bahçeli was undergoing a routine check-up and that his health status was good.

A statement also came from Bahçeli's Chief of Staff, Murat Çeliker. In his statement, Çeliker used the following expressions:

"He went to the hospital for his planned and routine check-ups; there is no situation of being hospitalized as claimed. His health is good."

MHP DEPUTY CHAIRMAN SEMİH YALÇIN MADE A STATEMENT

Yalçın shared the latest information regarding the health status of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli in a statement on his social media account. He explained the reason for the cancellation of the group meeting.

Our party's group meeting, which was expected to be held this week, has been canceled due to the persistence of the cough that our Chairman, Mr. Devlet Bahçeli, has contracted.

Under these circumstances, baseless rumors regarding our Chairman's illness have begun to be circulated in the public eye by certain chronic circles, and attempts have been made to produce purposeful and malicious speculations.

Despite the health measures taken and the ongoing treatment, upon the fact that our Chairman's cough did not subside, our physicians recommended further examinations. Multi-faceted medical tests and evaluations regarding the permanent treatment of the aforementioned ailment are ongoing.

Our Chairman's health is in good condition.

Respectfully announced to the public.
