Claims that Timur Cihantimur is being held in 'poor conditions' refuted: He is video calling his relatives, taking lessons, and playing card games

The legal process continues for Timur Cihantimur, who caused the death of Oğuz Murat Aci with a vehicle he was driving without a license in Istanbul and fled to the US with his mother Eylem Tok, settling in Boston.

Cihantimur's lawyers had requested that the juvenile detention center be changed, claiming that their client was being held under poor conditions at the facility in Newark.

However, a two-page letter sent from the detention center to the Boston Federal Court on August 23 refuted the lawyers' claims.

According to a report by the Sabah newspaper, the letter, which contains information about Timur Cihantimur's daily life, stated that Cihantimur is in a comfortable environment, plays card games, and speaks with his relatives via video conference three days a week.

The letter also emphasized that Timur Cihantimur takes lessons, reads books at certain times, and has the right to make phone calls.
