Clear call from the Victory Party to the CHP: 'To the blackout created by the government...'

Victory Party Spokesperson Azmi Karamahmutoğlu made a statement on his social media account regarding the debates over the visit of the TBMM National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission—established in the Turkish Grand National Assembly as part of the second reconciliation process—to the leader of the terrorist organization PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, in İmralı.

In his post, Karamahmutoğlu issued a clear call to the Republican People's Party, stating, "No further legitimacy should be granted to this commission, which has no legal basis; the CHP must walk away from the commission."

In his statement, where he continued his criticisms of the CHP, Karamahmutoğlu shared the following views:

"A blackout is being applied to prevent the Turkish public from being informed. Members of the parties in the commission who have not gone to İmralı to visit the terrorist leader will be deliberately forced to make decisions based on incomplete and unchecked information. The CHP had explained its reason for joining the commission as 'informing the public.'

At the point we have reached, since this possibility has been effectively eliminated, there is no longer any meaning for the CHP to remain in the commission. No further legitimacy should be granted to this commission, which has no legal basis. The CHP should not be a partner to the blackout created by the government and must walk away from the commission. It should leave the People's Alliance government alone with its own embarrassment."

A blackout is being applied to prevent the Turkish public from being informed.
