Court issues 'compulsory appearance' order for Şebnem Korur Fincancı
A compulsory appearance order has been issued for Prof. Dr. Şebnem Korur Fincancı during the hearing of the case in which she is being tried.
The Turkish Medical Association (TTB) former Central Council President and Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) Board member Prof. Dr. Şebnem Korur Fincancı appeared for the first hearing at the Istanbul 31st Criminal Court of First Instance regarding the case opened against her on charges of "insulting the Turkish Nation, the State of the Republic of Turkey, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Government of the Republic of Turkey, and the judicial organs of the state."
The court panel issued a compulsory appearance order for Fincancı and adjourned the hearing to January 27, 2025.
