Condolence message from Ali Ayaroğlu for Şükran Soner: I learned of it with deep sadness
Ali Ayaroğlu, President of the Zonguldak Branch of the Progressive Journalists Association, shared a condolence message regarding the passing of journalist Şükran Soner.
In his condolence statement regarding Soner, Ayaroğlu used the following expressions:
We are deeply saddened by the loss of our very valuable senior colleague and master, Şükran Soner…
I learned with deep sadness of the passing of one of the unforgettable names of our press, a writer for labor and the laborer, and the 'big sister' Şükran to the Zonguldak mine workers.
During the Great Miners' Strike, she walked the streets of Zonguldak for days alongside the mine workers and the people of Zonguldak. Subsequently, she joined us in the Zonguldak-Ankara march from January 4-8, 1991. She did not just write about our cause; she gave morale and support to the miners.
We will not forget Şükran Soner.
I wish God's mercy upon Şükran Soner, who served our profession for many long years as a writer for labor and the laborer, and I extend my condolences and patience to her family and our press community.
