Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, in a message on his social media account, stated that Gendarmerie Petty Officer Mehmet Fatih Çangır, serving under the Ordu Provincial Gendarmerie Command, was injured after being struck by a motorcycle while performing road safety and control duties, and that he was martyred despite all interventions at the hospital where he was taken. He expressed, "I wish God's mercy upon our heroic gendarmerie officer; I extend my condolences to his grieving family, our gendarmerie organization, and our nation. May the stations of our martyrs be high."
