Condolence message from Cem Küçük with photos of İlber Ortaylı

In his post, Küçük included photos taken with Ortaylı at different times, highlighting the closeness between them.

Stating that he had served as an editor for some of İlber Ortaylı's important books, Cem Küçük expressed the following:

I served as an editor for some of İlber Ortaylı's important books between 2005 and 2012. When my youngest son was born in 2012 and I told him we would name him İlber, he said, 'Add Han to it, let it be İlber Han.' That is what we did. He was a great historian and a wonderful person. We would meet and talk from time to time. If not, we would chat over the phone. May he rest in peace.
