Dilek İmamoğlu, wife of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been held at the Marmara Prison in Silivri for some time, shared a condolence message on her social media account for DEM Party member Sırrı Süreyya Önder, who has passed away.
In her post, Dilek İmamoğlu stated the following:
"Our country has lost a valuable person whose heart was full of love for humanity, who was hardworking and always ready to help everyone.
I learned of the passing of Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and DEM Party Istanbul MP Mr. Sırrı Süreyya Önder with great sadness.
I extend my condolences to his family and our country."
