Condolence message from President Erdoğan for Filiz Akın

In the condolence message he published following the passing of Filiz Akın, Erdoğan expressed his sorrow. Sharing a post on his social media account, Erdoğan extended his condolences to the master artist's family and loved ones.

President Erdoğan used the following expressions in his statement on his social media account:

''I have learned with sadness of the passing of the valuable actress Filiz Akın, one of the doyens of Turkish cinema. I offer my condolences to our master actress's family, relatives, and loved ones, and convey my sympathies to our entire art community.''

Filiz Akın'S TREATMENT PROCESS

The Ministry of Health also stated in a written announcement that the treatment Akın had been receiving for some time did not yield results. The Ministry said, 'The passing of the valuable name of Turkish cinema, Filiz Akın, is a great loss. We wish for God's mercy upon her and patience for her family and loved ones.'

Filiz Akın had been under treatment in Bodrum since September 1 due to pneumonia and infection. The artist, who was transferred to Istanbul on January 13 via an air ambulance belonging to the Ministry of Health upon the instructions of the Presidency, was continuing her treatment there. However, the treatment process did not yield a positive result.
