Consecutive operations against drug traffickers! Nearly 500 detained

Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that 1 ton and 39 kilograms of drugs and 509 thousand drug pills were seized, and 242 suspects were detained in the Narkogüç-48 operations carried out in 48 provinces against drug manufacturers and dealers.

In a post on his social media account, Yerlikaya stated that the operations were conducted in 48 provinces by provincial police departments with the participation of 382 teams, 1,438 personnel, 4 aircraft, and 23 narcotics detector dogs, noting that 242 suspects were detained in the operations where 1 ton and 39 kilograms of drugs and 509 thousand drug pills were seized.

NARKOGÜÇ-49 OPERATION IN 15 PROVINCES

In his second post, Yerlikaya provided information about the Narkogüç-49 operation held in 15 provinces.

In the operation carried out by Provincial Gendarmerie Commands in 15 provinces, namely Adana, Antalya, Ankara, Manisa, Aydın, Kocaeli, Kahramanmaraş, Ağrı, Samsun, Bitlis, Niğde, Muğla, Şanlıurfa, Nevşehir, and Diyarbakır, 1 ton and 110 kilograms of drugs were seized, and 214 suspects were detained.
