Construction vehicle accident in Ağrı
In the Taşlıçay district of Ağrı, one person was seriously injured and three others are missing after a construction vehicle involved in clearing a road blocked by snow rolled off a cliff.
Citizens in the Sivrice hamlet of the Yukarı Düzmeydan village requested assistance after their sheep went missing.
ROLLED OFF A CLIFF
Following the request, construction vehicles from the Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and the Provincial Special Administration were dispatched to the village. The teams were unable to progress on the hamlet road, which was blocked due to snow and blizzard conditions. During this time, a backhoe belonging to the Provincial Special Administration, operated by N.Ş. and carrying 3 citizens, rolled off a cliff.
Search and rescue teams, including UMKE and the gendarmerie, were dispatched to the region and have launched a search operation.

SEARCH FOR 3 MISSING PEOPLE CONTINUES
The teams reached the construction vehicle and carried the seriously injured operator, N.Ş., on a stretcher for approximately 500 meters to a tracked ambulance waiting in a flat area.
The seriously injured N.Ş. was taken to the Ağrı Training and Research Hospital by medical teams. Meanwhile, the search and rescue efforts for the other 3 citizens are continuing despite heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions.
