The struggle for inheritance and leadership that began in the Menzil Community following the death of leader Abdülbaki Erol in 2023 has occasionally been the scene of power displays by groups within the community.
LARGE CROWD IN İZMİR
Most recently, a visit to İzmir by one of the community leaders, Muhammed Saki Erol, led to the gathering of a large crowd.
At the event held by Erol in Arapderesi, located in the Karabağlar district, thousands of people came together to repent in a group. During the event, after greeting his followers who arrived at the venue, Saki Erol had them repeat the words: "O Lord! I regret all the sins I have committed. I wish I had not done them. God willing, I will not do them again. I have accepted Gavs as my sheikh."
The fact that the participants repeated these phrases in unison caused the footage of the ceremony to find wide resonance on social media in a short time.
