As part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into those producing and selling counterfeit alcohol, the number of arrests has risen to 44, while 56 suspects have been released under judicial control measures.

The number of people who have lost their lives due to the consumption of counterfeit alcohol has risen to 109 as of today. 29 people are also continuing to receive treatment in intensive care.

Meanwhile, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has added toxicology reports from the Council of Forensic Medicine to the investigation files initiated by the Ankara West and Polatlı Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices for the crimes of 'Smuggling' and 'Causing death by possible intent'.

While the number of files within the scope of the investigation has reached 169, it was stated that separate indictments will be prepared for the suspects.
