Teams from the Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted an operation under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of efforts to combat smuggling. Following meticulous planning, surveillance, and intelligence work, it was determined that counterfeit detergent ready for market distribution was being produced in the Şehitkamil district. As a result of an operation carried out at a business belonging to one suspect, 9 thousand 850 kilograms of counterfeit branded detergent ready for sale, with a market value of approximately 2 million 955 thousand TL, were seized. A suspect identified as M.D. was apprehended in connection with the incident.
It was reported that the necessary legal proceedings have been initiated against the apprehended suspect.
