Court delivers verdict in CHP convention case: 'Seeking irregularities is contrary to the ordinary flow of life'
The Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance has dismissed the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's 2023 and 2025 conventions. Legal expert Ruşen Gültekin emphasized that the court's decision is in accordance with the law.
The fifth hearing of the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's 2023 and 2025 conventionswasheld at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance. The courtreviewed the case filed by Hatay MetropolitanMunicipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş, whichwasdismissed the absolute nullity lawsuit.
Following the decision, legalexpert Ruşen Gültekin emphasized in his assessment to 12Puntothat the court's decision is in accordance with the law.
Gültekin used the following expressions:
“By holding the CHP's ordinary and extraordinary conventionsand at the same time, in accordance with the will of the Supreme Election Council, in a convention where delegates against whom there wereallegations were not included, seeking irregularitiesis contrary to the ordinary flow of life.Law is a collection of rules derived from reason. Therefore, I believe the decision rendered is in accordance with the law.we can say.”
With the court'sdecision, the demands for the annulment of the CHP's last two conventionshave legally remainedwithout result.
