Court halts CHP's expulsion decision!
The Ankara 1st Civil Court of First Instance has issued a preliminary injunction to halt the final expulsion decision taken by the CHP regarding former Aydın Deputy Metin Lütfi Baydar.
The Republican People's Party (CHP) High Disciplinary Board had decided to expel Metin Lütfi Baydar from the party during its meeting held on October 24. However, Baydar sought legal recourse against this decision.

In the petition of objection he submitted to the Ankara 1st Civil Court of First Instance, Baydar stated that he learned of the expulsion decision through the press and that he was not informed at any point during the process. He further expressed that he was unable to exercise his constitutional right to defense.
Evaluating Baydar's objection, the court issued a preliminary injunction to halt the implementation of the expulsion decision from the party. This ruling means that Baydar's party membership will continue for the time being.
