The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into posts allegedly made via social media accounts regarding stock market transactions. As part of the investigation, detention orders were issued for 6 suspects due to posts evaluated as being misleading to the public.

According to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it is assessed that the posts in question could damage the environment of trust in the stock market. The content and impact of the posts made by the suspects via their social media accounts are being examined within the scope of the investigation.

It was reported that the investigation is not limited only to the individuals for whom detention orders were issued. The statement noted that efforts by law enforcement units are ongoing to determine the identities of the owners of 11 social media accounts.

Following the completion of the identification process, new steps are expected to be taken within the scope of the investigation regarding the accounts in question.
