Cracks appear in 4-story building in Tuzla: Residents evacuated
Cracks have formed in the walls of a 4-story building located on Özyaman Street in the İçmeler neighborhood of Tuzla. Due to the cracks, the building was evacuated as a precaution for the safety of the residents. Fire, police, AFAD, medical, and municipal police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Following a report that cracks had formed in the walls of a building on Özyaman Street in the İçmeler neighborhood, which houses 2 businesses on the ground floor and 9 apartments on the upper floors, fire, police, AFAD, medical, and municipal police teams were dispatched to the address.
Municipal teams decided to evacuate the building after conducting a preliminary inspection.

TEAMS TOOK SECURITY MEASURES
While the building was being evacuated as a precaution, municipal police teams took security measures around the building. Apartment resident Murat Şahin stated that cracks had formed in the walls of the second floor of the building and that a noise was heard at that time.

Stating that they were frightened by the sounds, Şahin said, "We immediately went outside with the children. All relevant public institutions came and conducted an inspection here. The building is already in the urban transformation process. The situation will be examined, and we will act accordingly."
