Crime scene investigation teams conducted work at an IBB-affiliated daycare

An investigation was launched by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding allegations that children were battered and abused at the 'Yuvamız İstanbul' daycare, which is affiliated with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) in the Güzeltepe neighborhood of Istanbul's Eyüpsultan district.

In the investigation carried out by the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the allegations of battery and abuse of children at the IBB-affiliated daycare operating in Eyüpsultan, instructions were given for 4 suspects to be brought to the courthouse. Following their statements to the prosecutor, one suspect, a sports instructor, was referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for arrest. Three other suspects, who are teachers, were sent to the judgeship with a request for judicial control measures. The criminal judgeship of peace decided to arrest one suspect for the crime of "sexual assault" against a child. Judicial control provisions were applied to the other 3 suspects.
