Criminal organization leader: 35-year prison sentence sought for Necati Arabacı

The investigation conducted by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into the detained defendant Arabacı, the leader of the organized crime group known publicly as the "Hells Angels," and 13 other defendants alleged to be members of the organization, has been completed.

The indictment was accepted by the İzmir 20th High Criminal Court. A prison sentence of up to 35 years was requested for Arabacı on charges of "leading an organization," "qualified extortion," "aggravated intentional injury," and "violation of the Law on Firearms, Knives, and Other Implements."

For the other 13 defendants, who are being tried without detention, prison sentences of varying lengths were requested on charges of "managing an organization," "membership in an organization," "aiding an organization," "qualified extortion," "intentional injury with a weapon," "aggravated intentional injury," and "violation of the Law on Firearms, Knives, and Other Implements."

The indictment also requested that the other 13 defendants be tried while in custody.

WHAT HAPPENED?

It was determined that organized crime leader Coşkun Necati Arabacı arrived at Adnan Menderes Airport from Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, on October 5, 2025, and the suspect was detained by teams from the Provincial Police Department's Organized Crime Combat Branch. After his procedures at the police station, Arabacı was referred to the courthouse and was arrested by the duty magistrate.

Arabacı, who had been released by the Criminal Court of First Instance with judicial control conditions, was re-arrested following an objection by the İzmir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
