Crisis continues over Ferdi Tayfur's inheritance
The legal battle that began within the family of legendary arabesque music artist Ferdi Tayfur over the vast estate he left behind is set to reach a new dimension with a hearing scheduled for next month.
Following the passing of Ferdi Tayfur, a name who left his mark on the art world, the vast inheritance he left behind—including 87 apartments, various plots of land, an island in Marmaris, and copyright royalties—has led to a dispute among family members. With the ongoing unrest regarding the distribution of the inheritance, statements from within the family continue to emerge one after another.
It has been alleged that Tayfur's daughter, Tuğçe, and his son, Timur, have filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office against the artist's niece, Nilüfer Gözalıcı. While these allegations remain a hot topic, Nilüfer Gözalıcı broke her silence regarding the developments and made statements on the matter.
Gözalıcı maintained a clear stance on the process, stating, "The inheritance will be distributed as my uncle Ferdi wished." Gözalıcı further emphasized her determination by saying, "I grew up in my uncle's care. Throughout my marriage and afterwards, I was always with my uncle. He was my dear. Everything will proceed in the way my uncle desired."
