Critical meeting between Turkey and Greece takes place: 'The current positive atmosphere...'
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Burak Akçapar and Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Papadopoulou met in Ankara. During the meeting, the joint commitment to developing cooperation between the two countries was reiterated.

The following statements were included in the joint statement issued after the meeting held between the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Greece:
"Our Deputy Minister, Ambassador Burak Akçapar, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Alexandra Papadopoulou, held a regular political dialogue meeting in Ankara on March 11, 2024.
During the talks, various aspects of bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues were discussed.
DEVELOPING THE CURRENT POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE
Both sides reiterated their joint commitment to developing the current positive atmosphere in the fields of bilateral and international cooperation, in line with the Athens Declaration signed by the leaders of the two countries in Athens last December.
They discussed the preparations for the visit planned by Prime Minister Mitsotakis to our country and evaluated the progress made so far in the existing dialogue channels, covering all aspects of bilateral relations."
