Critical step in Rojin Kabaiş investigation: Phone to be sent to China

A notable development has occurred in the investigation into the suspicious death of university student Rojin Kabaiş in Van. The young student's father, Nizamettin Kabaiş, announced that his daughter's mobile phone, which had previously been sent to Spain but could not be unlocked, will now be sent to China.

Stating that the Van Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, is awaiting the completion of official correspondence through the Ministry of Justice, Kabaiş noted that while the possibility of unlocking the phone in Turkey had been considered, this option was not chosen due to the risk of data loss.

According to the report by Sabah, the contents of the phone are of critical importance in the case of Rojin Kabaiş, whose lifeless body was found some time after she went missing and whose death remains unsolved. Father Kabaiş recalled that his daughter had her phone in her hand when she last left the dormitory, and expressed that unlocking the device could change the direction of the investigation.

Nizamettin Kabaiş made the following statements regarding the process:

"It was said that the phone could also be unlocked in Turkey by cracking the password. However, this risk was not taken because the data might be lost. For this reason, the mobile phone will be sent to the company in China. It was stated that the password could be cracked in China."
