Cübbeli Ahmet reacts to Salafi oath: 'ISIS jargon'
Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known publicly as Cübbeli Ahmet, stated that the oath recited by students at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Imam Hatip Secondary School in Arnavutköy reflects ISIS ideology and constitutes a provocation against the state. Ünlü claimed the text was written by Halis Bayancuk. The Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education has launched an investigation into the incident.
Footage recorded at the Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Imam Hatip Secondary School in Istanbul's Arnavutköy district has sparked public debate. Ahmet Mahmut Ünlü, known publicly as "Cübbeli Ahmet," shared his assessment regarding the oath recited by the students.
"ISIS JARGON"
Ünlü argued that the emphasis on "shirk" (polytheism) in the text belongs to the ISIS rhetoric targeting the Republic of Turkey. He stated that the oath recited at the school reflects the ideology of the terrorist organization ISIS and constitutes a clear provocation against the state.
Claiming that the person behind the oath is Halis Bayancuk, known publicly as "Ebu Hanzala," Ünlü described the events as a show of force through the formation of a community.
SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA
It was noted that the footage in question was shared on social media by the community of Halis Bayancuk, who is known for his Salafi views. The post stated that the footage was "proof that years of outreach efforts have reached the deepest capillaries of society."
The oath ceremony, which began with the words "Our Lord is Allah, Our Leader is Muhammad, Our Agenda is Revelation" and continued with the phrases "Our struggle is against Shirk and Bid'ah (innovation)," has caused widespread repercussions in the public sphere.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED
Following these developments, a comprehensive investigation has been launched by the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education.
