Customs duty on urea imports has been reorganized

In a statement from the Ministry of Trade regarding the reorganization of the customs duty on urea imports, it was noted that work is being carried out in coordination with relevant institutions and organizations, primarily the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, to ensure supply security in agricultural raw materials, guide markets correctly to prevent speculative price increases, and protect the welfare of both producers and consumers. The statement included the following: "In this context, taking into account developments in our region and their reflections on supply processes, customs duties for urea-type goods have been set to zero to ensure supply security in the fertilizer sector, with the aim of preventing cost increases for our producers in the agricultural sector and thereby preventing any price increases in food products."

The statement emphasized that measures to protect producers and consumers will continue, adding: "Our Ministry of Trade, in coordination and consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, will continue to closely monitor domestic and foreign markets to ensure supply security and price stability in food products, and will continue to take all necessary measures to protect both producers and consumers."
