Following a long dry period in Istanbul, dam occupancy rates continue to rise due to the impact of recent rainfall. According to the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) data for February 3, the occupancy rate of dams in Istanbul was measured at 72.26 percent.

The total amount of water in the 10 dams supplying water to Istanbul has remained above 70 percent for the first time in months. Recent rainfall has increased water levels in the dams, reaching 41.27 percent in the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest level, and 90.79 percent in the Elmalı Dam, which has the highest level.

According to İSKİ data, some of the dam occupancy rates in Istanbul as of February 3 are as follows:

Alibey Dam: 77.49%

Büyükçekmece Dam: 69.04%

Darlık Dam: 87.95%

Istrancalar Dam: 81.78%

Kazandere Dam: 62.87%

Elmalı Dam: 90.79%

Ömerli Dam: 88.09%

Pabuçdere Dam: 41.27%

Sazlıdere Dam: 40.21%

Terkos Dam: 63.05%
