Dams in Istanbul continue to bring smiles! ISKI February 5 figures

Recent rainfall has been a lifeline for Istanbul! For the first time in months, dam occupancy rates have exceeded 70%. The water level in the megacity was most recently measured at 72.65%. The highest occupancy rate is at Elmalı Dam with 91.29%, while the lowest level is at Pabuçdere Dam with 42.29%.

The occupancy rate in Istanbul's dams has shown an increase with the recent rainfall. Last year, there was insufficient precipitation during the winter season, which is why dam occupancy rates are being followed with great interest by citizens. The water amount in Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest water level, was measured at 42.29 percent, while the highest water amount was recorded at Elmalı Dam with 91.29 percent.

On Monday, February 5, the total occupancy rate of the 10 dams supplying water to Istanbul was determined to be 72.47 percent.

Observing an increase compared to the previous day, the occupancy rates in the dams on February 5 were listed as follows:

Ömerli Dam: 88.17%

Darlık Dam: 88.05%

Elmalı Dam: 91.29%

Terkos Dam: 63.85%

Alibey Dam: 77.39%

Büyükçekmece Dam: 69.23%

Sazlıdere Dam: 50.55%

Istrancalar Dam: 79.98%

Kazandere Dam: 62.4%

Pabuçdere Dam: 42.29%
