Dangerous negligence at Ispartakule toll booths: Warning signs removed, accident becomes inevitable!

Work is ongoing in Istanbul to convert urban highway toll booths to the Free Flow System.

However, negligence at the Ispartakule toll booths has led to a serious accident.

The accident occurred on the morning of Thursday, October 9. Driver Sinan Kılıç, who set out for work early in the morning, struck a concrete barrier belonging to the old toll system as he arrived at the Ispartakule toll booths.

The vehicle was nearly totaled following the crash. However, the accident clearly revealed the negligence in the work being carried out in the area.

It was observed that the warning signs, reflectors, and speed limit signs that should normally be present on the concrete barriers were missing.

The removal of warning signs during the toll booth renovation work invited an accident during the morning hours when visibility is low.

If authorities do not take the necessary precautions, it seems inevitable that similar accidents will occur at the same spot. Continuing the work in this manner seriously endangers the life and property safety of drivers.
