Dangerous tension in Kayseri... Governor's Office: 'A Syrian individual molested a Syrian child'
Following allegations that a foreign national molested a 6-year-old child in Kayseri, citizens took to the streets. Police intervened in the incidents. A statement regarding the matter was issued by the Governor's Office.
Tension escalated in the city following allegations that a foreign national molested a child in the Danişmentgazi neighborhood.
In the Danişmentgazi neighborhood of the Melikgazi district, citizens locked a foreign national in a restroom following allegations that he had molested a 5-6-year-old child at the local market.

Citizens waited for the foreign national to exit the market area. As the crowd grew by the minute, a large number of police and riot control teams were dispatched to the scene. While police teams called on citizens to remain calm, the tension continued to grow.
Citizens attempted to loot shops and vehicles belonging to Syrians.
Security forces intervened against the citizens who refused to leave the scene, first using pepper spray and then water cannons.
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE CONFIRMED THE INCIDENT
In a statement issued by the Kayseri Governor's Office, it was reported that a Syrian national had molested a young Syrian child, and that security teams had been dispatched to the scene.
