Danla Bilic reveals: 'I am receiving death threats'

Social media influencer Danla Bilic's ex-boyfriend, Berk Çetin, who had been in custody for some time on charges of physical assault and making threats against her, was released following his first hearing. In a statement on her social media account, Bilic described her experience with the words, "I am living the nightmare I watch on television."

VIOLENCE AT THE RESTAURANT CAUGHT ON CAMERA

The moments when Berk Çetin assaulted Danla Bilic at a sports club restaurant in Eyüpsultan and poured a drink over her head were captured on security cameras. Following these images, Bilic filed a complaint, and Çetin was apprehended in Denizli, taken into custody, and arrested.

"I WANTED TO SAY HELLO"

In his statement to the police, Çetin claimed that there were numerous unfounded complaints against him. Claiming that he did not know Danla Bilic was at the restaurant on the day of the incident, Çetin said he only went over to her to say hello when he saw her.

MOTHER REPORTED HER SON

Another notable development regarding the incident occurred with a petition submitted to the prosecutor's office by Berk Çetin's mother, Arzu Çetin. Stating that her son could harm both her and Danla Bilic after being released from prison, the mother said:

“When my son was leaving the house, referring to Danla, he said, ‘I will make her experience what she made me experience; this is nothing yet.’ He is depressed and uses medication. He needs to be treated.”

According to the petition, Arzu Çetin stated that before her son went to prison, he told her, “If I make a mistake, you be the one to report me,” and that she decided to apply to the prosecutor's office after these words.

BİLİC: "I AM RECEIVING DEATH THREATS"

Announcing that Çetin had been released, Danla Bilic shared the following message with the public:

“I am living the nightmare I watch on television. I am receiving death threats. I no longer feel alone, helpless, and safe.”
