Date set for 2024 fresh tea purchases at ÇAYKUR

An important announcement regarding fresh tea purchases has been made by ÇAYKUR. 

The General Directorate of Tea Enterprises (ÇAYKUR) has extended the tea purchasing period until October 20 for producers who could not meet the 750-kilogram per decare quota set for the 3rd harvest.

Meeting with factory managers and deputy managers at the ÇAYKUR building, ÇAYKUR General Manager Yusuf Ziya Alim announced that in addition to the tea season, which was expected to end within the framework of quality criteria determined by ÇAYKUR for fresh tea, they will continue to make purchases until October 20, and that these purchases will be carried out at the factories or at a point to be determined by the factories.

In the statement made by ÇAYKUR, it was stated, “During the 3rd harvest fresh tea period, we increased the quota to a maximum level of 750 kilograms per decare and offered our producers a purchase guarantee that exceeded expectations in this regard.

Under these conditions, we announce to all our producers that we will continue to make purchases until October 20 within the framework of the quality criteria we have set for our fresh tea; and that the purchases will be made at our factories or at a point to be determined by our factories.

In this way, we will bring the 2024 fresh tea season to a safe conclusion, hand in hand and in unity with you, our valued producers, and as ÇAYKUR, we will have demonstrated once again this year that we are always a guarantee for you.”
