Date set for Erdoğan-Bahçeli meeting
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, in a statement following the Central Executive Board (MYK) meeting, categorically rejected claims of a rift within the People's Alliance. Çelik provided a date for the anticipated meeting between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli.
AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik appeared before members of the press following his party's MYK meeting to provide assessments on current agenda items.
Addressing claims that there is a disagreement within the People's Alliance, Çelik stated the following:
"There is no rift or fragility in the People's Alliance. We see that the People's Alliance grows even stronger after every attack. It leads us to refresh our awareness regarding the existence and value of the People's Alliance for our country. The People's Alliance is not a coalition; it is a will formed with a national stance."
DATE SET FOR ERDOĞAN-BAHÇELİ MEETING
Regarding the expected meeting between President Erdoğan and MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, Çelik said, 'Focus on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Mr. President and Mr. Bahçeli are already meeting regularly. Depending on their schedules, we expect the meeting to take place within this week.'
