Date set for Union of Municipalities of Türkiye deputy chair election
Following the arrest of TBB President and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, a date has been set for the election of a new deputy chair at the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye. The election will be held on Friday, March 28.
Following the detention of Ekrem İmamoğlu, who serves as the president of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye (TBB), on March 19 and his subsequent arrest on corruption charges on March 23, the process for the deputy chair election has been clarified.
The election to determine the new deputy chair will be held in Ankara on Friday, March 28, at 14:30.
