Death threat against Ekrem İmamoğlu on AKP troll's broadcast! 'Either me or someone else won't let him live'

Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was re-elected as Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) in the March 31 Local Elections, was threatened with death on a YouTube program hosted by AKP troll Mert Armağan.

Nevzat Kaya, who joined Armağan's live broadcast, made the following remarks about İmamoğlu: "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. We won't give it up, my fellow citizen. The 1820s and such are over. Ekrem İmamoğlu shouldn't think that he will become President with the votes of those dogs, those dishonorable people. If it's a crime, it's a crime. Either me or someone else won't let him live."

The threats and scandalous remarks made during the live broadcast became a trending topic on social media. Many users shared Kaya's threatening speech under the heading "This is a criminal complaint."

AKP TROLL APOLOGIZED

Making a statement after the broadcast, Armağan stated that they would no longer host Nevzat Kaya, who threatened İmamoğlu, and apologized.

Armağan used the following expressions:

“Nevzat Kaya, who was a guest on our YouTube channel's live broadcast today, unfortunately made some unacceptable statements. Without any ifs or buts, no one can threaten Ekrem İmamoğlu with his life. As democracy requires, those who come by election leave by election.

Our relationship with him has been severed and no further broadcasts will be made. While it is unfortunately not possible to prevent such things during a live broadcast, as the host of the broadcast, I apologize to our public, especially Mr. İmamoğlu, for this incident. Such rhetoric is never acceptable, no matter who it is directed against. Furthermore, I am removing the live broadcast due to this unseemly incident.”

HE ADMITTED TO THE THREAT

In a statement on his Facebook account, Nevzat Kaya admitted that he threatened İmamoğlu and reacted to those who shared the video. Kaya wrote the following:

Today, I participated in a live broadcast program and made a statement saying, 'If Ekrem İmamoğlu thinks he will become President with the votes he will receive from the dishonorable people who want to divide and tear this country apart, we will not allow it; either me or someone else, even the brave hearts within the CHP who would outshine me in patriotism, will not let him live.

Yesterday I was in the mountains, today our crescent-mustached brave hearts will not allow those who are eager to secure their seats by collaborating with the scoundrels who want to divide and tear this country apart.'

The video continues further.

Now, some low-lifes have cut ten seconds from the video and created a perception as if I am directly threatening İmamoğlu with death.

A bastard living in Europe is even trying to threaten me by publishing my information.

Let me remind those who threaten me with death or assault in tweets of this.

If anyone who wants to pick a fight with me is ready to face all consequences, I am ready for everything.
