Death threat against Rojin Kabaiş's father, Nizamettin Kabaiş! He recounts his final meeting with the prosecutor
Rojin Kabaiş's father, Nizamettin Kabaiş, has announced that he is receiving death threats. Kabaiş stated, "I am receiving messages via WhatsApp such as 'Give up on this case, you are in our hands' and 'If you don't drop it, your death is also near'."
21-year-old Rojin Kabaiş, a first-year student in the Preschool Teaching Department at Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, went missing on the evening of September 27, just three days after starting university, on the shores of Lake Van. The young student's lifeless body was found on October 15 at the Mollakasım Village coast, approximately 24 kilometers from the point where she went missing, following a tip-off from a citizen.
In an investigation conducted by the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK), it was announced in a report dated October 10 that DNA traces belonging to two different men were found on Rojin's body. The report included information that one of the DNA samples was taken from the chest area and the other from inside the vagina.
FATHER ANNOUNCES: HER PHONE HAS STILL NOT BEEN SENT TO PORTUGAL
While the investigation into the suspicious death continues, her father Nizamettin Kabaiş said in a statement to Yeni Özgür Politika that he learned during his last meeting with the prosecutor that Rojin's phone had still not been sent to Portugal. Kabaiş recounted what was said during the meeting as follows:
“The news that the phone was sent to Portugal is not true. The prosecutor said they plan to send it with experts, but the device is still in their possession. When the phone is opened, new information will be reached. Our lawyer asked questions regarding how many days Rojin remained in the water and the date of her death. They said they would provide an answer within a week. We also objected to the statement that the water dragged the lifeless body, and that statement was removed from the file.”
DEATH THREAT AGAINST FATHER NİZAMETTİN KABAİŞ
Continuing his search for justice, Kabaiş stated that unidentified individuals have been sending him threatening messages.
Kabaiş expressed what he has been experiencing as follows:
“I am receiving messages via WhatsApp such as 'Give up on this case, you are in our hands' and 'If you don't drop it, your death is also near'. They are sent from phone numbers belonging to Indonesia and Iran. Two days ago, I also received a threatening message containing profanity and insults. We forwarded these messages to the prosecutor's office; they said they would carry out the necessary procedures. But we are not afraid of them, and we do not shy away from anyone.”
