Death toll in Israel's attacks on Gaza rises to 7,028
The number of people who have lost their lives in the attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has increased by 481 in the last 24 hours, rising to 7,028.
The death toll is rising in the Gaza Strip, where Israel has been continuing its attacks for 20 days. In a press conference, Palestinian Ministry of Health Spokesperson Ashraf al-Qudra announced that 481 more Palestinians have lost their lives as a result of Israeli attacks in the last 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 7,028, including 2,913 children.
Al-Qudra also stated that 1,650 people, including 940 children, are under the rubble. Noting that 101 healthcare personnel have lost their lives as a result of Israel targeting the healthcare system, al-Qudra said, "Israel has deliberately completely collapsed the healthcare system by preventing the entry of fuel and emergency medical supplies."
CALL REGARDING EPIDEMIC DISEASES
Al-Qudra said, "We are warning that a health catastrophe could occur as hospitals, which house tens of thousands of displaced people in unhealthy conditions that lead to the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases, turn into shelters. We call on all parties to take urgent and effective measures to restore the healthcare system so that thousands of patients and the wounded can be treated."
Al-Qudra also made another call to Egypt, requesting the opening of the Rafah Border Crossing, the delivery of medical aid, fuel, and medical teams to the Gaza Strip, and for the wounded and patients to receive treatment outside of Gaza.
