Death toll rises to two in accident involving Erdoğan's security detail in Şırnak
Another police officer from the security detail of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who were involved in a traffic accident in Şırnak, has died. The sad news was announced by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s security detail was involved in a traffic accident in İdil, Şırnak, yesterday (March 13). In the accident, where one police officer was killed, three people, including two police officers, were injured.
DEATH TOLL RISES TO 2
Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya announced that police officer İlker Duran, who was injured in the accident, has also died.
In a statement on his social media account, Yerlikaya noted the following:
"My condolences to our nation. Police Officer İlker Duran, who was serving in the Şırnak Intelligence Branch Directorate, has been martyred as a result of a traffic accident involving the vehicle they were in while on duty on the Şırnak-Nusaybin road. May God have mercy on our martyr; I extend my condolences to his grieving family, our heroic police force, and our nation. May his place be high."
