Nihal Candan, one of the social media influencer Candan sisters who was arrested 5 and a half months ago on charges of fraud and money laundering, developed 'anorexia' (refusal to eat) in prison and dropped to 37 kilograms.

Following a doctor's report stating that her treatment could not be continued in prison after her condition worsened and she was hospitalized yesterday, it was decided that Nihal Candan be released from prison.

While it was learned that Nihal Candan, who dropped to 37 kilograms due to this illness, also suffered from psychological distress, doctors stated that her treatment could not be continued in prison for Candan, who was hospitalized yesterday.

Evaluating the situation, the court decided to release Candan to be tried without arrest.

Stating that they expect Nihal Candan to be released today at 17:00, the Candan sisters' lawyer Kasım Ergün said, "It was a decision we expected. Her treatment will continue in a hospital setting."
