Decision on NATO detentions
The court has announced its decision following numerous detentions carried out ahead of the NATO Summit.
Lawyers representing 19 members of the People's Liberation Party (HKP) who were detained during an anti-NATO protest had appealed to the judges for the release of their clients, challenging the second extension of the detention period for 13 of them.
The prosecutor's office decided to release 9 of the 13 HKP members detained during the anti-NATO protest and referred the remaining 4 individuals to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for judicial control measures.
