Decision reached regarding detained news anchors
In Istanbul, as part of a drug investigation, news anchors Meltem Acet, Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, and Hande Sarıoğlu were referred to the Council of Forensic Medicine (ATK) following their statements at the courthouse. It was learned that the anchors would be released after the procedures there.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Smuggling,Narcotics and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, forthe charge of "possessionfor drugfor the crime of "purchasing, accepting, or possessing narcotic or stimulant substances, or using narcotic or stimulant substances"regardingtheinvestigationconducted, an operation wascarried out by gendarmerie teams.
