Decision reached regarding the 7 suspects who attacked Serhat Akın
Following the armed attack on former Fenerbahçe and National Team football player Serhat Akın in Beykoz, the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has completed its investigation and requested that a lawsuit be filed against 7 suspects on charges of "attempted premeditated murder." The indictment states that the attack was carried out in a planned manner.
The investigation into the armed attack on former Fenerbahçe star Serhat Akın in Beykoz has been completed.
In the indictment prepared by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was requested that suspects E.Ü. and O.M. be tried for "attempted premeditated murder," facing prison sentences ranging from 13 to 20 years each. Similarly, it was requested that H.Ş. be sentenced to the same penalty for the crime of "incitement."
ATTACK DETERMINED TO BE PLANNED
The indictment emphasized that the suspects acted in unity of thought and action before and after the incident. In particular, it was determined through camera footage that reconnaissance was carried out at the scene of the attack. It was stated that suspect O.D. fired 3 shots at Serhat Akın from a distance of 3-4 meters with a pistol he received from E.Ü., and that this attack was organized in a planned manner.

DETAILS OF THE ATTACK REVEALED IN THE SUMMARY OF PROCEEDINGS
In the summary of proceedings (fezlek) previously prepared by the Beykoz Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was noted that the attack was carried out upon instructions received from abroad.
The bone fractures resulting from Serhat Akın's injuries and the Council of Forensic Medicine report revealed the serious nature of the incident. The fact that Akın survived despite being seriously injured formed the basis for the suspects to be tried for "attempted premeditated murder."
AN ORGANIZED ATTACK PLAN
The summary of proceedings prepared by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office explained that H.Ş., who is alleged to be the planner of the incident, gave instructions to O.D., O.M., and E.Ü. to carry out the attack. The document included information that O.D. received the pistol used in the attack from E.Ü. and that O.M. helped O.D. escape by motorcycle after the attack.
The indictment stated that Y.G., I.T., and M.A. were also among those who assisted in the attack. It was stated that Y.G. contributed to the act by delivering 250 thousand liras received from the instigator H.Ş. to O.D. and O.M., while I.T. helped the suspects hide after the attack.

CASE SENT TO COURT
The indictment prepared by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office was sent to the Anatolian 23rd High Criminal Court. If the court accepts the indictment, the trial process will begin. While the details of the investigation have caused a great stir in public opinion, the background of this attack on Serhat Akın is expected to be clarified.
