Decision to continue detention for 53 people, including İmamoğlu
No release decision was issued in the final detention review conducted before the second hearing of the IMM case. The court ruled for the continued detention of 53 individuals, including IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Murat Çalık, Resul Emrah Şahan, Murat Ongun, Mehmet Pehlivan, and Necati Özkan.
A detention review was conducted ahead of the second hearing, which will begin on August 17, in the IMM case where 414 people, 53 of whom are in custody, including IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, are being tried.
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has been held in Marmara Prison in Silivri since March 23, 2025.
The Istanbul 33rd High Criminal Court, where the case is being heard, ruled for the continued detention of 53 individuals, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, Murat Çalık, Resul Emrah Şahan, Murat Ongun, Mehmet Pehlivan, and Necati Özkan.

IMM Mayor and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who has been in Marmara Prison in Silivri since March 23, 2025, is being tried in the case in question with a request for 2,430 years of imprisonment.
