Decision to continue detention for Ayşe Barım
A detention review was conducted for talent manager Ayşe Barım, who was arrested on January 27 on allegations of directing the Gezi Park protests. The court ruled that Barım's detention shall continue.
The trial of Ayşe Barım continues, with prosecutors seeking a prison sentence of 22 years and 6 months to 30 years on charges of 'aiding in the attempt to overthrow the Government of the Republic of Turkey or to partially or completely prevent it from performing its duties through force and violence.'
Within the scope of the trial, a detention review was conducted for Ayşe Barım by the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court. In the review conducted via the case file, it was decided that Barım's detention shall continue.
The hearing of the case will continue on October 1 at 10:00 AM at the Istanbul 26th High Criminal Court.
