DEM Party's Ahmet Türk: 'We would like to convey our ideas to Erdoğan'

Ahmet Türk, who is part of the DEM Party's İmralı delegation, evaluated President Erdoğan's statement, "If they request an appointment, I will meet with them." Türk said, "We would like to convey our ideas to Erdoğan." 

Stating that he finds Erdoğan's move important, Türk said the following:

“Of course, the President is the head of this country. We would like to meet with him and convey our ideas regarding the resolution of this issue. A meeting with the President would be beneficial. We would also hear his ideas directly from him. No appointment request has been made yet, but I think our friends will likely make an application regarding this matter.”

Following President Erdoğan's remarks after his party's group meeting, where he stated that he would meet with the DEM Party delegation if they requested an appointment, a statement came from the DEM Party. DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan said, "Our delegation will submit its application to meet with Mr. Erdoğan today or tomorrow morning." said.
