In a statement released via the DEM Party's official social media account, it was announced that Batman Provincial Co-Chair Mustafa Mesut Tekik has passed away following a heart attack.
The statement shared by the party included the following words:
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our Batman Provincial Co-Chair, Mustafa Mesut Tekik, who passed away due to a heart attack.
Throughout his life, Mustafa Mesut Tekik fought for the equality of peoples, freedom, and justice. With his combative personality, organized stance, and dedication to his people, he was a very valuable companion for our party.
We wish him mercy and extend our condolences to his family, all our comrades, and our people. His memory will live on in our struggle."
