Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan spoke about the call from terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan and their subsequent conversation.

"HE CALLED 1 MINUTE AFTER THE LIVE BROADCAST"

Stating that MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli called him 1 minute after Öcalan's call, Bakırhan said, “Öcalan attaches importance to the October 1 statement and finds it very valuable. He also dedicated special time to it.

He said that Mr. Bahçeli could play his role precisely after this call.

Bahçeli called me after the live broadcast. He congratulated me. He said, ‘Be at ease, we will democratize this country together.’

We will do whatever is necessary for democracy. I am where I stand. I am ready to do whatever is necessary for democracy,' he said,” he stated.
